I went down a rather deep c++ rabbit hole earlier today. Stuffing the work into a side branch of code perhaps to revisit when I've got a better idea of what to do with it if anything. At least I got a couple of little bug fixes taken care of in the process.
@jextxadore yeah different section of code. As an alternative you can reply with a tap & hold or right click. If /reply is preferable then I can look at incorporating that.

@phoneboy Fair point and yeah I agree ultimatly it's up to them as the owner of the mainline code and service. I guess it just feeds back into my frustration around all of these supposed open cross platform messaging solutions that ultimatly are just silos that do nothing but create more fragmentation.

@phoneboy Well yeah obviously it's their sandbox and they set the rules. It's a shame though when something is presented as an open community developed effort but isn't willing to work with developers who want to build on it.
