Wow that was a rough commute. And to top it off I forgot my portable keyboard so I have to use the monstrosity on this dell. Let's see what the rest of today brings.
@phoneboy I'll check it out in a bit. Getting ready to brave the freeways and venture into the office today.
// @matigo
@hybotics It's a pretty decent OS. The UI takes a little getting used to though. I do think the UI in Ubuntu Touch is better in some regards but there are more apps available for Sailfish right now. Ultimatly if either OS had the device support I needed I'd be using them as my primary device but alas that is not the case.
@hybotics It is actually open to the general developer community. Device availablity though isn't that great since they never shipped a device to the US. So very much a niche space at the moment.
@hybotics They provide an SDK https://sailfishos.org/develop/sdk-overview/ which is based on QtCreator and a build engine that runs in VirtualBox
@hybotics Here is a good matrix of various ports. https://wiki.merproject.org/wiki/Adaptations/libhybris I'm doing my testing & development on a Nexus 5 currently.
Yay got confirmation that someone else was able to install and use my #SailfishOS app! Love knowing that my first attempt at something actually works when published.
Okay just released my first #sailfishos app to the wild sort of. Published the rpm to those who know what to do with it anyway. Now back to some BB10 code. :-)
