Monday, it is. Do this, we must.
I'm happy that we are getting to a point where seperate chat rooms on various networks both old and new can bridge together with a bit of matrix [matrix.org] magic. ?
Based on the feedback I got I'm going to continue self-hosting my projects and focus on that initial README for a proper jumping off point. I've also opened up my gogs server [code.monkeystew.net] to make it easier for contributions to current and future projects.
@caff I haven't really cared much about where a project is normally if I'm just contributing something. I tend to prefer self-hosting my own projects though. But I'm contemplating starting up a project that others could help contribute to so I wonder if self-hosting would cause others to shy away.
Question for those who like to contribute to open source projects. Does the location where a project is hosted (e.g. GitHub) affect your decision to contribute?
Because it's been a crazy stressful week, and because I have to drive to Bakersfield this weekend, I think I'm going to take tomorrow off work. I need a little downtime.
I finally got around to switching most of my IRC usage over to #matrix. At least for the networks that are officially bridged. My chats are consolidating. ?
