@sumudu well in essence it gives you more control. It all goes back to the terms of service. If you run your own server, you essentially set the rules within the laws and regulations of where it's hosted of course. But some sites will grant you greater control to license your content. Sites like Twitter and Facebook have terms that grant them rights so by publishing there.
@sumudu I self host my stuff. While I don't have the same financial intensive as some with regards to my content I still like to have more of a say in how my stuff is licensed. Social networks like Twitter and Facebook take that right so they can make money.
Moving very slow this morning. I suspect my sleep wasn't very restful last night. Need #coffee, stat.
Time to tackle a little code me thinks since I don't get to do it as much as I'd like for my day job.
@matigo that would ease the pain a little bit perhaps for those who want to get at it.
@matigo ha, actually that's not a bad idea. others would probably object but post count doesn't actually mean anything to me other than how chatty i am or not overall
My post count is lagging behind some of you guys. Maybe I should pick up the level a bit.
I must have angered the #coffee gods today. Afternoon incident involved a cup of coffee being dumped on my bluetooth keyboard and mouse. ಠ_ಠ
